Hello my name is Tomaž Humar. I’m 19 years old and I live in Slovenia. I speak 4 different languages; Slovenian, Serbo-Croatian, English and Spanish. During my childhood I have visited around 30 different countries, some of them more than once. I have trained football while in primary school and I have been climbing since I can remember. Now, I am a student of economics on University of Ljubljana.
ONE AMAZING THING I’VE DONE
I’ve climbed Pico de Orizaba completely alone during our family holidays in Mexico, reached the massive crater, witness unbelievable view from 5700m high volcano which rises above the Gulf of Mexico. Later got my face burned by sun and got bladders, anyhow it was worth it, great experience.
COUNTRIES I’VE VISITED BEFORE THE PROJECT
Albania, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Monaco, Nepal, San Marino, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, Vatican City State.
They say one travels through life with a suitcase that should be filled with: joy, happiness, interest, curiosity, courage, harmony, love and awareness. Tomaž’s suitcase has all of the above, plus unbelievable will and a bike.Dušan Konrad
Because of today’s commercialization of sports there is less room for real adventures. Cycling the planet on your own, is definitely one of the ultimate challenges one can endure. Especially at Tomaž’s age. According to the fact, that I’ve already seen this young man “in action” I am sure that he will succeed.David Stropnik
