Woke up at 8am and started cycling a few minutes before 9am, with only one goal on my mind- to reach Byron Bay. After a heavy uphill start and some problems finding the right direction, I finally got back in the rhythm. Made my first stop after 5 hours, ate a sandwich and a jar of Nutella. When I crossed the border with Queensdale and New South Wales, changing the time zone confused me a bit.. I did 70km in 2 hours and 30 minutes. When I had a chance to talk with my family and heard what’s going in Europe with the terrorist attacks and refugees, I was really pissed off. But still! I reached Byron Bay just before nightfall. This was a very good day in terms of distance. And it was very hot. Tomorrow’s forecast says a couple storms are coming, hope it won’t be too bad. Good day.
