I woke up at 6.20am and started cycling at 7.20am. I was very excited to hit the road, which is amazing considering these 137 days on bike. But I would be a fool thinking everything will run smoothly, right?
The hills today were absolutely mind blowing! And the wind was blowing towards my way, all day long! It was supposed to be 20 km/h but believe me: It was well over that, well over. It felt like an invisible force is pushing me back all the way – it actually did.
When I arrived to a town called Hyden, I saw they had a tourist attraction named Wave Rock. It’s a rock, that looks like a wave, who would’ve thought! Due to this attraction, the prices of accommodation in Hyden were sky high, so I decided to go further to the next town. I did well over 150km today. Now I am staying in a really small town without mobile signal or WiFi. And what’s worse, there is no food store, what do people here eat? The next town is about 50 kilometers ahead, so I’m hoping I will get something to eat there. Despite the lack of food, everything is fine, haha! I can’t complain with anything really. I felt some pain in the lower back, nothing I couldn’t handle. Tomorrow will be the 40th day in Australia or “The rock down under” how I call it. So far, so good.
