Day 144: Nedlands-Nedlands

December 27, 2015Tomaz Humar

Merry Christmas! My Christmas dinner was eaten by ants so I threw it away and went to bed. It wasn’t good anyway, only bread, cheese and almonds. Shit how depressing it sounds now when I wrote it. Anyhow that was my dinner what about presents? I got three of them on my butt, brand new! Even before I started cycling, I knew it’s going to be miserable. Perth with a population of 2 million people is a ghost town today! Everybody is at home, there’s just me cycling around like an idiot. My butt hurts as hell, and I cannot find a good position to ease the pain. After one hour of today’s cycling I saw a homeless guy and I told myself what the fu*k are you complaining! You have a home, a family and friends at home! Zip it, grind it, forget the pain! And that’s what I did, I was almost numbed like I don’t even remember what I was doing for the last 8 hours. Did what I had to, and finished with a thought:“Christmas next year will not be hard to beat.”
