Day 169: Bayan Lepas-Bangkok

January 27, 2016Tomaz Humar

A day with a plan! I woke up, felt really tired from everything but still had a lot of cycling to do, catch a plane and go to immigration office upon arrival to Bangkok. I cycled until 1pm, took a quick shower, packed my bicycle and went to the airport. The face recognition computer on border control denied my passport, which means they didn’t believe me that I am the same person as in the passport. After explaining that is a very old picture they agreed to let me go. Later on the plane I was thinking how is this possible, did I really change so much, is it because of this trip or what? In almost no time we landed in Bangkok. It’s a crazy city! They have 8 lane highways! The good thing is that I already knew how Thailand is, so no adjusting was needed. I cycled until nightfall, 21:40pm. I stayed at a couch surfing host that night, he was really friendly and nice. I grabbed a dinner and went straight to bed. Good, but exhausting day.
