At midnight I woke up, feeling strange. Something was going on with my body. I felt dizzy, I stood up and went to the bathroom and vomited straight away. Throughout the night I had diarrhea, fever and multiple headaches. I couldn’t sleep properly so when the morning came I felt bad, had no energy. Just miserable. I went back to sleep, but I couldn’t. I was just lying there knowing I will not move, cause I simply couldn’t. It was just horrible for me to experience this. Later I went to the hospital to give blood sample. I was afraid I got Malaria, from the mosquito bites. The blood test showed negative for Malaria, but positive for Typhus. The doctor said I’ll be vomiting, having diarrhea and experiencing headaches for the next five days, and that I need to rest. He also gave me some prescription pills. Hope tomorrow will be better, so I can continue cycling and move forward. I just came back to the hotel, will take a rest now. Keeping my fingers crossed, tomorrow I will have enough energy to sit back on the bike. I’ll be honest, this was not the best day.
