I got up at 5.45am after 4 hours of sleep. I’m now catching a bus to Algeciras for Morocco. 3 minutes before the departure I find the bus driver who says to me that we are leaving if I am not ready. That meant I had 3 minutes to reassemble the bicycle and put it in the bag.
I did in two minutes, feeling like a pro! Took a power nap for 1 hour. At 9.30am I was on a ferry for Ceuta. On my way from Ceuta to Marocco, I saw a lot of refugees. It was hot, roads went uphill, there was chaos on the border. Did 10km in Morocco which did not feel safe at all! I felt like an elephant in the room. I headed back to Algeciras, glad to had that experience in Africa. After getting back to Algeciras, I faced 11km uphill without backing off for a single meter. Mental victory for me on Puerto De Bajo! Took a bus to Malaga, still had 85km to go. I finished at 3am tired, had a long day behind me.
